《环球时报》报道，据驻乌克兰大使馆消息，当地时间8日，经过各方的艰苦努力，被战火困在苏梅的在乌最后一批中国留学生终于乘大巴撤离，共计115人，目前正前往安全地区。根据大使馆提供的数据，在乌克兰的中国留学生共有2700人。使馆表示，至此，在乌所有中国人已经撤出了乌克兰的危险区域。

在3月9日，外交部发言人赵立坚主持例行记者会，回应了相关问题。
赵立坚表示：经各方共同努力，苏梅地区的百余名中国留学生已经安全撤离风险区域。目前，在乌克兰的绝大多数中国公民已经撤离。我再次提醒少数留在乌克兰的中国公民务必注意安全，加强防范和应对准备，同时和中国驻乌使领馆保持联系。驻乌使领馆将继续提供领事保护与协助。
