截至12月20日上午，香港特别行政区第七届立法会90个议席全部顺利产生。这是完善选举制度后香港特区举行的首次立法会选举。超过130万选民在全港600多个投票站投完票后，香港特别行政区第七届立法会选举选委会界别、选举分区、功能团体界别共90个议席全部产生。香港特区行政长官会同行政会议已根据《立法会条例》有关规定，指明2022年1月1日为香港特区第七届立法会的任期开始日期，任期4年。
All the 90 members of the seventh-term Legislative Council (LegCo) of China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) have been elected as of Monday morning. With over 1.3 million voters casting their ballots at more than 600 polling stations, 90 lawmakers for the HKSAR's seventh LegCo were elected from the Election Committee, geographical and functional constituencies. The election was the first LegCo election after the electoral revamp.The Chief Executive in Council, in accordance with the Legislative Council Ordinance, has specified Jan 1, 2022 as the commencement date of the seventh-term LegCo of the HKSAR. The term of office of the LegCo is four years.
*立法会（Legislative Council，LegCo）是香港特别行政区的立法机关，由选举产生。根据香港基本法，香港特区立法会行使的职权包括：根据香港基本法规定并依照法定程序制定、修改和废除法律（to enact, amend or repeal laws in accordance with the provisions of the Basic Law and legal procedures）；根据政府的提案，审核、通过财政预算（to examine and approve budgets introduced by the Government）；批准税收和公共开支（to approve taxation and public expenditure）；听取行政长官的施政报告并进行辩论（to receive and debate the policy addresses of the Chief Executive）等。
