Johnson called on two reporters from the British press corps while Biden did not call on any from the U.S. side. The press was ushered out afterwards amid loud yelling from White House press aides.

英国《每日邮报》的报道显示，拜登的助手赶走了记者们，不过拜登本人当时还试图回答CBS记者喊出的问题。工作人员叫喊着“谢谢”和“走吧”，同时驱离了记者。
His aides cleared out journalists as they tried to query the president. Biden did attempt to answer one shouted question from a CBS reporter. White House aides yelled 'thank you' and 'let's go' to the press in the room, herding them out as Biden appeared to try and address the issue.

随后，怀有诸多不满的白宫记者们，就拜登没有接受正式采访这一问题找到白宫发言人普萨基投诉。只不过，普萨基当时并不知道发生了什么，也无法当即提供解决方案。
White House reporters made a formal complaint with the White House about not getting any formal questions while the British press asked away. Psaki was unaware that the incident has occurred and suggested that she was not in a position to offer an immediate solution.

一天之后，普萨基在记者会上回应了相关事件。记者向她提问，对于白宫将记者“护送离开（escorted out）”有什么可以透露的消息。普萨基给出的理由则很简单：约翰逊选择了自己的记者团成员提问，但是却没有事先知会我们。

另据《国会山》报道，拜登在演讲或公开露面后，会很偶尔地接受记者提问，但是最近数周都没有召开过发布会。
