据英媒报道，今年7月，英国女王伊丽莎白二世的私人花园白金汉宫花园首次向公众开放。不过，很多游客却发现，并不像其宣传承诺的那样算得上是千载难逢的游览体验，反倒有种“被宰”的感觉。很多游客在网上给出差评，比如花园中更有趣的地方被限制进入，还要求游客额外支付导览费才能进入。成年人16.5英镑（约合148元）、家庭套票42英镑（约合373元）的定价，让这个旅行被游客称为“浪费时间和金钱”。
In July, Buckingham Palace, the London residence of the UK’s Queen Elizabeth II, opened its gardens to the public for the first time. Instead of having a once-in-a-lifetime experience as promised, many visitors complained about being ripped off after their visit. Many wrote bad reviews online saying that the more interesting parts of the garden were roped off and required visitors to pay more for a guided tour. Priced at ￡16.50 (about 148 yuan) per adult or ￡42 (about 373 yuan) for a family ticket, the tour was called “a waste of time and money”.
Rip off本意是“撕掉，扯掉”，还可以表示“欺诈，宰客”，rip someone off (敲某人竹杠)。Rip-off作名词，表示“要价过高的东西”，如：What a rip-off!
