It came as no surprise to most Chinese netizens when video-sharing website Bilibili, or B Site, announced that Luo Xiang won its 2020 Most Popular Uploader Award on Jan 30.

而对于罗翔来说，用“火出圈”来形容他的2020年，一点都不过分。
现年43岁的罗翔，是中国政法大学知名教授。去年三月初，罗翔在视频分享网站哔哩哔哩上注册了账号，很快他便火遍全网。在注册5天后，粉丝增长到170万人。
Luo Xiang, a criminal law professor, has taken the internet by storm on the video-sharing website Bilibili after only creating an account last March.He racked up 1.7 million followers in just five days.
而在将近一年后，罗翔在B站的粉丝数已经达到1200多万。

“这么多同学对我的课感兴趣出乎我的意料。通过这个平台，我希望我能教授更多学生关于刑法的知识，帮助他们更好地理解什么是法治，”罗翔在视频中如此说道。
“It is beyond my expectations that so many students became interested in my class. Through the platform, I hope I can reach more students in teaching knowledge related to criminal law and help them better understand what the rule of law really is,” Luo said in the video.
罗翔爆火的秘诀或许就在于其富有创造性的讲解以及不动声色的幽默。
The secret to his popularity could be explained by his creative storytelling and deadpan humor.
在罗翔的视频中，他对相关法律案例内容的讲解生动幽默，不少粉丝认为这样的方式如同单口相声，所以“刑法届郭德纲”的爱称也不胫而走。

而张三，则是罗翔在讲解中频繁“出镜”的虚拟人物。当然，基本上都是在做违法的事情，比如通过五花八门的手段下毒、诈骗、抢劫、借高利贷等等，所以也得到了网友们“法外狂魔”的称号。
