据CNN报道，当地时间12日晚，埃隆·马斯克（Elon Musk）发文宣布，将任命美国全国广播公司环球媒体公司（NBC环球）的广告部负责人琳达·雅卡里诺（Linda Yaccarino）担任推特新的CEO。
马斯克在周五的一条推文中宣布了这一消息：“雅卡里诺将主要专注于商业运营，而我将专注于产品设计和新技术”。马斯克还称，期待着和雅卡里诺一起将推特这个平台打造成万能应用“X”。

“I am excited to welcome Linda Yaccarino as the new CEO of Twitter!” Musk wrote in a tweet on Friday. He said she “will focus primarily on business operations, while I focus on product design & new technology.”
此前一天，这位前推特CEO发推宣布，他将卸任并已找到接班人。他在推文中写道：“很激动地宣布我为推特/X找到了新的首席执行官，她将在大约六周后上任！”
他还表示，自己将退居幕后，转任推特的“执行董事长兼首席技术官（executive chair and CTO）”，负责监督产品、软件和系统操作。
"Excited to announce that I've hired a new CEO for X/Twitter. She will be starting in ~6 weeks!" Musk said in a tweet on Thursday.
He added that his role within the company will transition to "exec chair and CTO, overseeing product, software and sysops".

虽然网友们都在恶搞，但当时《华尔街日报》在马斯克正式官宣前已经获得小道消息，推测琳达·雅卡里诺就是推特的新任CEO人选。

Yaccarino, chairman of global advertising and partnerships at NBCU, has been with NBCU for more than a decade, where she has been an industry advocate for finding better ways to measure the effectiveness of advertising. As head of NBCU's advertising sales, she was key in the launch of the company's ad-supported Peacock streaming service.

As CEO, Yaccarino will face a long list of challenges that have piled up under Musk’s ownership, including an advertiser exodus, service disruptions, regulatory scrutiny and a growing list of rivals. Musk’s controversial policy changes and statements have also alienated some longtime Twitter users.

Even as Musk steps back from the CEO role, he will likely still maintain significant control over the future direction of the company. Musk previously said he would serve as the company’s executive chairman and CTO, as well as being the owner of the platform.
