综合法新社、英国《每日邮报》报道，秘鲁警方19日宣布，警方不久前乔装扮成圣诞老人和精灵，突袭首都利马一处毒贩窝点，抓捕毒贩并起获大量毒品。
这一幕更像是一出喜剧，而不是警察的突袭——“圣诞老人”和他的“精灵助手”进入犯罪多发的苏尔基约街区，走到疑是毒贩窝点的一栋房子前，掏出一把大锤，破门而入，大喊“趴在地上，不许动”……
A gang of drug dealers in Peru got a nasty surprise when Santa and a merry band of elves broke down their door, cuffed them and seized their merchandise in an unusual bust announced Monday.
Agents disguised as the ruddy, white-bearded figure from the North Pole and several of his helpers, entered an unsafe neighborhood of Lima called Surquillo on Saturday.
The group ambled innocently down a street until suddenly they stopped at a house. In a scene more akin to a comedy skit than a police raid, one of Santa's helpers brought out an enormous hammer, broke down the front door and the group forced their way inside.
Instead of greeting the occupants with a jolly cheer, agents screamed at them to freeze and lay down on the floor.
警察戴维·比利亚努埃瓦告诉当地电视台，“圣诞节快到了，圣诞老人走在街上不会太抢眼，我们在这次行动中就利用了这一点。”
Police official David Villanueva told Peruvian TV: “It being Christmas, a Santa in the street does not attract much attention, and we used this to our advantage for this operation.”
按照比利亚努埃瓦的说法，现场包括三男一女在内的嫌疑人起初“以为这是一场恶作剧”。等他们反应过来只能束手就擒，全部被警方带走。
The suspects, three men and a woman, initially thought it was a joke, said Villanueva.
法新社报道，秘鲁是拉美地区主要毒品生产地之一。秘鲁毒贩常以墨西哥和西班牙为中转站，将毒品运往美国和欧洲。此外，也有部分毒品流入秘鲁的邻国。
