他还称，欧洲该为过去3000年的所作所为道歉，“我是欧洲人，我认为就凭我们过去3000年来在世界上做的那些事，我们得道歉3000年，才有资格对别人道德说教（we should be apologizing for the next 3,000 years before starting to give moral lessons to people）。”↓↓

据新华社报道，卡塔尔在2010年被指定为世界杯主办国以来，一直受到来自西方政客和舆论的质疑和批评。随着世界杯临近，一些西方媒体开始“旧事重提”。这些指责主要集中在国际劳工权益、性别平等、同性恋等“性少数群体”球迷在卡是否会遭遇威胁、球场以及周边禁售酒精饮料等等。
面对西方喋喋不休的指责，国际足联主席因凡蒂诺终于忍无可忍。

FIFA president Gianni Infantino has lashed out at what he described as "hypocrisy" and "racism" from countries moralizing about the Qatar World Cup and claimed Europe should be "apologizing for the next 3,000 years" for past mistakes.
In an astonishing one-hour monologue that opened a news conference in Doh last Saturday, Infantino took aim at critics of Qatar and FIFA.
他直言道：“西方世界、一些欧洲人，太爱给别人上课了。”

"We are told many lessons from some Europeans, from the Western world. I'm European. I think for what we Europeans have been doing in the last 3,000 years around the world, we should be apologizing for the next 3,000 years before starting to give moral lessons to people.”
因凡蒂诺表示自己很难理解这些所谓的指责，甚至觉得“虚伪”。“从卡塔尔或该地区其他国家赚取数百万的欧洲企业，又有多少解决了国际劳工的权利问题？我的答案是：一个也没有，因为如果他们改变，就意味着利润减少。
"How many of these European companies who earn millions and millions from Qatar or other countries in the region -- billions every year -- how many of them have addressed migrant-worker rights? I have the answer: none of them because if they change the legislation, it means less profits.
“这种片面的道德说教是虚伪的。”他说。
"This one-sided moral lesson is just hypocrisy," he said.
据新华社报道，针对国际劳工权益问题，国际足联和卡塔尔官方多次声明称，卡塔尔已采取措施、出台法律改善劳工工作环境和待遇福利，这是个长期过程，并且改革的步伐不会停止。
因凡蒂诺认为，不能因为劳工问题拒绝与卡方合作，更不能以此为由抵制卡塔尔世界杯，只有参与共事，才能积极推动解决问题。他建议西方政客和媒体可以参考欧洲历史，思考当前对卡塔尔的批评是否合适。
他在演讲中表示，如果欧洲真的关心这些人的命运，他们应该参与进来，而不是指手画脚，“我们必须投资于能帮助这些人的项目，投资教育，给他们一个更美好的未来和更多的希望。很多事情都不是完美的，但改革需要时间。”
Infantino questioned European immigration policy and claimed the West could learn from Qatar, which has faced repeated criticism from human rights campaigners about the treatment of migrant workers.
"We have to invest in helping these people, in education and to give them a better future and more hope. We should all educate ourselves, many things are not perfect, but reform and change takes time."
对于“禁酒令”的指责，因凡蒂诺认为，这不仅暴露出西方对卡塔尔当地文化习俗的不尊重，而且再次显示出西方自我优越的双重标准。他说：“我个人认为，如果你一天有三个小时不能喝酒，你也活得好好的。特别是实际上法国、西班牙、葡萄牙和苏格兰也在球场限制酒精饮料。”
“I think personally, if for three hours a day you cannot drink a beer, you will survive, especially because actually the same rules apply in France or Spain or in Portugal, or in Scotland. No beer is allowed in the stadiums.”
“世界杯期间我们不聚焦足球，是件令人感到遗憾的事情。”因凡蒂诺说。在这位52岁的国际足联掌门人看来，西方的指责只会加剧撕裂世界。
