近日，美国脱口秀演员主持人李·坎普（Lee Camp）在今日俄罗斯电视台（RT）的一档节目中指出，美国阿富汗战争的“终极目标”，其实是发动一场无止尽的战争。↓

他在节目中表示，不少人表现得好像阿富汗战争对美国而言是一场灾难，但其实对精英统治阶层（the ruling elite）来说，这正是他们想要的。

“这场战争在过去20年里耗费了数万亿美元，这些钱从美国纳税人手中进了精英统治阶层的口袋……整个事件的真实目标，就是发动一场无止尽的战争。”
“The war has taken trillions of dollars over two decades, from U.S taxpayers, and given it to the elite… The goal all along was to have endless war.”
接着他在节目中播放了“维基揭秘”网站创始人及主编朱利安·阿桑奇（Julian Assange）早前说过的一段话，为自己的观点进行补充：
“美国的目标不是完全征服阿富汗，而是让阿富汗沦为工具，来把美国纳税人的钱，和欧洲纳税人的钱通过阿富汗战争，再洗回这些国家的跨国安全官员手中。这才是（美国）的目标。理想情况下，目标是挑起一场永无止境的战争，而不是打赢这场战争。”

“Because the goal is not to completely subjugate Afghanistan. The goal is to use Afghanistan to wash money out of the tax basis of the United States,out of the tax basis of European countries, through Afghanistan, and back into the hands of transnational security officers. That is the goal. Ideally, the goal is to have an endless war, not a successful war.”
坎普表示，最可悲的是，我们（美国人）都没法自欺欺人地说美国政府绝不可能干这种事。
“自从二战结束以来，世界看似迎来了和平的黄金时期，然而美国军方却直接或间接地杀害了约2000万人，颠覆了至少36个国家的政府，干涉过至少85次他国政府选举，尝试暗杀过50多名外国领导人，朝30多个国家的人民丢过炸弹。”

“Since World War II, during a supposed golden age of peace, the United States military has killed or helped kill some 20 million people, overthrown at least 36 governments, interfered in at least 85 foreign elections, attempted to assassinate over 50 foreign leaders, and dropped bombs on people in over 30 countries.”
坎普引用作家大卫·斯旺森的这段话称，由此可见，“阿富汗的灾难根本不令人惊讶，因为这正是美国混蛋统治者们的标准办事流程。两个党派都是一个样，没有例外！”
“The disaster in Afghanistan is not a surprise. It's exactly the standard operating procedure for the assholes who rule our country, both parties, no exceptions.”
