“德尔塔”仍肆虐,“拉姆达”又来袭!美国已超千例,日本现首例

据CNN当地时间 8月7日报道,随着新冠疫情蔓延,美国已出现去年12月秘鲁首先报告的“拉姆达”(Lambda)毒株感染病例。

报道援引全球最大的流感及新型冠状病毒数据平台“流感数据共享全球倡议”的数据显示,目前美国已有1060例由“拉姆达”毒株引起的新冠肺炎病例

As the coronavirus pandemic continues, infections caused by the Lambda variant have been emerging in the United States.

Genomic sequencing has identified 1,060 cases of Covid-19 caused by the Lambda variant in the United States so far, according to the independent data-sharing initiative GISAID.

CNN报道称,目前,美国新增新冠肺炎确诊病例中约有83%均为“德尔塔”变异毒株。虽然现在美国感染“拉姆达”毒株的新冠肺炎确诊病例数比感染“德尔塔”变异毒株的病例数要少的多,但一些传染病专家表示,“拉姆达”毒株也是他们正在密切关注的一种变异毒株。

While that number is a far cry from the surge in cases caused by the Delta variant — representing about 83% of new cases in the US — infectious disease experts have said that Lambda is a variant they are watching closely.

据央视新闻报道,世界卫生组织今年6月14日发布报告,将去年12月最早在秘鲁发现的C.37毒株以希腊字母 λ(拉姆达)命名,并列为“需要留意”的变异病毒之一(Variant of Interest)。根据世卫组织的标准,如果“需要留意”的变异病毒传播进一步加快,严重到一定程度,如需要为此调整现有防疫措施等,会被升级为“需要关注”的变异病毒(Variant of Concern)。目前,“德尔塔”变异毒株已被世卫列为“需要关注”的变异病毒。

The Lambda variant was first identified in Peru in December. The World Health Organization designates Delta as a "variant of concern." Lambda is designated a degree lower as a "variant of interest" on 14 June.

据英国政府网,此前英国也已报告6例拉姆达变种病例,均与海外旅行有关。

Six cases of Lambda have been identified across the country to date, all have been linked to overseas travel, according to the UK government.

除美国和英国外,日本近日也确诊了首例感染“拉姆达”毒株的患者

据《日本时报》8月7日报道,日本厚生劳动省日前透露,日本确诊首例感染“拉姆达”毒株的新冠肺炎病例。据悉,这名感染者7月20日从秘鲁飞抵日本羽田机场,在入境检疫时被确诊新冠肺炎,通过基因分析后确定感染的是“拉姆达”变异毒株。


The Lambda variant of the novel coronavirus, first identified in Peru, has been found in Japan for the first time, health ministry officials said Friday.

The variant was detected in a woman at Haneda Airport who arrived from Peru on July 20, according to the ministry.

不过,CNN援引美国传染病学会专家普瑞蒂·马拉尼(Preeti Malani)的话称,“目前还很难确定这种毒株的传染性如何”。马拉尼还表示,“值得庆幸的是,有研究表明,目前可用的疫苗仍然具有保护作用。” 

她表示,只要新冠病毒整体没被控制住,未来就可能出现更多的变异毒株。因此,通过全球广泛开展疫苗注射等方式控制住新冠病毒的蔓延十分重要。

"Thankfully studies suggest that the currently available vaccines remain protective. We have learned during the pandemic that things can change quickly, so controlling spread of COVID-19 in general will help manage Lambda," wrote Malani, an expert with the Infectious Diseases Society of America. 

"As long as there is uncontrolled spread of SARS-CoV-2, we will see more variants in the future. The only way out is widespread vaccination to control spread and prevent further mutation of SARS-CoV-2. "
