如今，夫妇俩已经顺利康复，并回到美国家中。最近，在一个电台节目中，“阿甘”也详谈了夫妇俩战胜新冠病毒经历：自己又疼又累，妻子高烧失去味嗅觉……
Tom Hanks opened up about recovering from coronavirus and the symptoms he and his wife Rita Wilson endured while in Australia.
The actor spoke with “The National Defense Radio Show” about his and Wilson’s experiences, saying that it affected them in different ways.
在节目中，汉克斯表示，自己感染病毒后“感到疲劳疼痛”(bad body aches and was very fatigued)，而妻子丽塔的症状则更严重些：

“Rita went through a tougher time than I did. She had a much higher fever. She had lost her sense of taste and sense of smell. She got absolutely no joy from food for a better part of three weeks.”
“丽塔的状况要比我更糟糕些。她发了高烧，丧失味觉嗅觉。三个多星期都完全没有食欲。”
而妻子治疗高烧的药物会带来恶心感的副作用，这种强烈的恶心感甚至一度更是让她无法行走 (She was so nauseous she had to crawl on the floor from the bed to the facilities) 。

而令汉克斯自己也感到很诡异的是，自己想要做点基本的伸展运动，但连一半的运动动作都坚持不下来。 (I just had the weirdest thing. I just tried to do basic stretches and exercises on the floor and I couldn’t even get halfway through)

"I was wiped after 12 minutes. I laid down in my hospital bed and just slept.”
“我做了12分钟就累垮了。我就躺在医院的病床上睡着了。”
汉克斯还表示，自己是在澳大利亚拍摄电影期间染上的病毒，但至于怎么夫妻俩是怎么被传染的，至今仍不得而知。当时澳大利亚医院也对他们采取了严格的隔离措施，确保他们不会传染给别人。
在澳大利亚经过两周的隔离后，两人最终回到了位于美国的家。
